Too many decisions are made behind closed doors.
I am running because we are experiencing a crisis of democracy in city government. Developers are required to have only one Zoom public meeting before their project is approved.
We must end these Zoom rubber stamps and allow neighbors to have greater scrutiny of development that is planned for their neighborhoods.
We must also restore “Oral Communication,” a time the public can address the council on anything not on the city council agenda, to its former 7:00pm time slot.
